Default Club trip 6th March 2010 - Black Hawk Bow

An expensive day for Barry, who spent £1000 in the shop on new dive kit (Lucky Barry)!!

The water was a bit chilly at 6 degrees. I managed a whole 22 minutes in my dry suit! Shariff somehow managed far longer than me in a 5mm semi dry !!!! (either he is mad, or i am just lame - maybe both?? ). The visibility was fairly limited as it was pretty dark, but i had borrowed a nice shiny Halcyon torch from the shop, so saw loads! Lots of pink sea fan, which are a protected species (under the wildlife and countryside act) and listed in the UK's Biodiversity Action Plan. For our second dive we went to the bombardon unit in Weymouth Bay, where everyone had a good, but fairly short dive (especially me lol). Then we headed off for a quick post dive beer and curry to warm up in the evening!

All in all a good day! Although some warmer gloves and socks now top my shopping list

It was a nice day

Dry gloves - that is what you need

The only downside is needing someone else to put the suce on the pasty before you can eat it
