Millennium Divers is based within Underwater Explorers Ltd right next to the water in Castletown, Portland, Dorset. All the facilities exist within a few yards - Boats, Gasses, Cafe. Pub and Hotel so its the ideal place to come diving all year round.

The Millennium Divers Club now represents a group of divers who really just want to enjoy themselves and dive! As long as you are a qualified diver from a recognised agency, you are welcome to join us, diving within the limits of your certification and experience. As a member you can enjoy diving with us midweek evenings as well as weekends. All levels of certification are catered for, therefore a variety of excellent dives are available.
Underwater Explorers is a PADI 5* IDC, TDI Training Facility and UK's first GUE Dive Centre. Millennium Divers is running a GUE supported Project currently called "Wreckipedia". We would love you to join us in our ongoing project to dive and identify many of the little or unknown wreck sites on the South Coast. Weather your keen to just dive or to get the tape measures and cameras out underwater the club is ideal for you. The club has very few rules apart from asking that you dive within your agencies / qualification limits and that you have good dive insurance. We encourage everyone on our dives to use similar gasses and to avoid diving with air (Nitrox is preferred between 0 and 30 meters).

As a member you will automatically be subscribed to our Forums, full of like minded potential buddies. Club dives and member concessions are not limited to the ones the club organises only. You can chat and arrange your own diving with buddies and be the organiser!

The cost: MDD Full Membership costs £35 per-annum but you don't need to be a member to come diving with us. Every full member is required to have their 3rd Party Liability insurance though we can help set this up through DAN Europe, a non-profit international foundation or alternatively through Dive Master Insurance. The club is a non-profit entity. The premiums are used to secure boat spaces and concessions from parties interested in full or partial sponsorship.

Full members get 5% off purchases from Underwater Explorers, 50% off mid-week equipment rental and 5% discount on course bookings from Underwater Explorers.

Club History
The club came together as a result of two groups of divers who largely followed the DIS (Doing it Simple) approach and were informally run via Yahoo newsgroups. Staff at Underwater Explorers formalised the club several years ago. The original groups were

MDD-UK was a diving club open to all divers and offers dive trips, various activities and select discounts for members.
Dorset Gas Divers
DGD encompasses Hogarthian divers who have trained with UE and/or joined with the intention of working within a unified team environment.
